Big toe overusage .... redness and increased sensitivity ?

Last March through May , I walked 300 miles and about 90,000 feet of elevation change on New Zealand's South Island . At the end of my trip, I noticed the redness and increased sensitivity .

A year later, I'm noticing the redness and sensitivity have not gone away . Does anyone on this board know what this form of injury is called ?

Thank you for any help .

Hard to say without more of a look at it.
'Increased sensitivity' potentially indicates nerve damage.
