Blister pain ?

Are foot blisters more painful than 10 years ago (I'm 43)? Because I have always had a blister at the same place (UNDER the small right foot finger) when I hike several days. I always drill it. But before I didn't remember to have pain. And last time, and the time before I had pain. So what is the explanation ? Is is just a question of memory (no memory of the pain)?

Hard to say. You could be more sensitive to pain signals. It could be the tissue damages is greater. Could be any number of reasons.

And the tissue damages are greater because the blister is bigger or because the blister is older ?
