Should I have pain in my leg after having foot surgery?

I had mortons neuroma surgery six weeks ago. My toes and foot are still sore but that was to be expected. I did not expect to have such pain in my calf. why does this happen?

DocPod 		Two potential reasons:
1. You have a DVT; very serious; get to the doc now!
2. Its an 'overuse' type problem due to the way you are walking while you recover from the surgery; not serious; should go away over time as you start walking properly.

Without an examination, it hard to tell which one it is.
