Why does it feel like my sock is bunched up under my toes?

I get this sensation that feels like my sock is bunched up under my toes, but when I check the sock is fine. What is it? Is it in my head?

DocPod 		Its not in your head!
People with a problem known as plantar plate dysfunction typically describe that sensation of a scrunched or bunched up sock under the ball of the foot.
This is some damage to the ligament under one or more of the metatarsophalangeal joints.

Get to a podiatrist and get it diagnosed properly. If it is that; initially some strapping to hold the toe down and/or a metatarsal pad can help.
