calcaneal fracture ?

.............hi , i have a calcaneal fracture , i think that means a busted heel pad ....the bone is not broken ....my ortho says its not healing , been in a cast for 2 months ....walking on tip toes .....is it dangerous to walk on that foot ? i really need to go back to work .....my doctor says i might have my leg amputated .....is that a accurate assessment ? thank you .....

DocPod 		Sorry, but I really going to need a considerable amount of more clinical information and imaging before even coming close to offering an opinion on that!

Having said that, never heard of a "busted heel pad"
