Can Custom Orthotics make it worse ?

I have been wearing custom orthotics for 3 months and my Plantar Faciitis has not improved at all. I have never found them to be comfortable or to have helped at all. Could they be stopping me healing and should I try stopping wearing them ?

DocPod 		If they are prescribed, designed and made properly and then used properly, then they should be helping and certainly not making it worse. If they are not helping then either:
1) They were not prescribed, designed and made properly.
or
2) The plantar fasciitis has got worse for other reasons (eg you increased activity levels)

If they are hurting, then stop using them and get back to the clinician you got them off (with the exception of the initial break in period when you first get them)
