Abscess or blood blister under toenail ?

I had a big bruise/blood blister under my big toenail of ny right foot. I cut my toenail..all the liquid came out. I was left with a white toenail..i can see under it its not attatched to my toe anymore..BUT i am asking a podiatrist because i then immediately after got one under my other big toe nail on my left foot. I never hurt either of them..and its too big of a coincidence for it to happen to both big toes at almost the same time. Should i be worried? Should i see a podiatrist or my pcp?

DocPod 		Hard to say without seeing; it could be one big coincidence or the whiteness could be an onychomycosis or fungal infection.

It is probably better to get it checked; see a podiatrist first.
