Toenail stopped growing, painful joint ?

In mid-february I noticed the moon on left big toe had disappeared. 1st of March I noticed the cuticle had disappeared, and skin around nail bed was red and slightly tender. Went to PCP in mid-March after no improvement and slight worsening in tenderness, nail not growing at all, unable to fully bend toe. MD said it did not look like fungus, possibly bacterial infection, had x-ray that showed "mild arthritis in joint", took 7 day course of Cephalexin. End of March still no improvement- nail bed pain, redness, swelling, took course of oral Diflucan. Still no improvement at the end of June. Toe nail is not growing at all, decreased range of motion in joint, no cuticle, swelling and redness along nailbed. What could be wrong?

DocPod 		Hard to say without seeing it and seeing test results. However, it does seem as though there is some involvement often joint causing this. this really needs to be investigated further.
