Removal of a cracked callus that grew over my large toenail bed. ?

I had my large toenails permanently removed over a year and a half ago. A hard thick callus grew over both nail beds to the top and cracked straight downward. How can I remove those hard calluses without going back to my podiatrist again?

DocPod 		Thats a new one for me. It is extremely unusal for a callus to develop over the nailbed following removal. The only way to remove a callus is by mechanical debridement. ie a scalpel or a bur and I would not be comfortable recommending either to you without knowing more about your medical history and risk involved. I suggest you discuss it with yur podiatrist (or get a second opinion) as to wht your long term options are.
