What is the lump in the middle, bottom portion of my right foot?

I have just noticed within the past several days that there is a hard, pea sized lump under the skin on the bottom of my right foot, in the middle by the arch area. Does not really cause pain unless I rub on it. Need to see what might have caused this. Do not recall injuring this area.

DocPod 		There are many many many causes of lumps and bumps on the foot. They can vary from a simple fungal infection to a mild fibroma to a serious growth. Fortunately the serious growths are really uncommon, but you had better get it looked at to rule it out.
