If not compartment syndrome, then what is it?! ?

I am a twenty year old female, active runner. Five years ago I was diagnosed with compartment syndrome (after taking the pressure test- where both legs were at 45 mmHg). I underwent the surgery of bilateral faciotomies and to this day have not been better. My symptoms are that my lower shins hurt whenever I run and then for a few days later. Also, the worst part is after standing more than 5 hours- my legs swell, feet KILL to the point where I cant stand on them, and my legs get very hot. I had the "compartment test" redone a few weeks ago and my numbers were nearly doubled at 100mmHg pressure in my legs after running 20 minutes. My doctor said that since the test didnt work the first time, it probably isnt compartment syndrome, especially if my legs hurt for days after (feels like a very sore/tight tibia muscle when I flex my foot) PLEASE help me out! I am too young to not be able to stand or run!

DocPod 		If the pressure testing showed what they did, then it is unlikely to be anything else other than compartment syndrome. If the test was "faulty", and especially if your legs swell after standing, you need another opinion. Something unusual is going on.

The only other option I can suggest is to get on to some different running coaches and get your form evaluated. A change in that is often helpful for some ongoing running problems.
