Cause of pain on top outside of foot after 5K walk. ?

I recently walked in the 5K Race for the Cure. About 2/3 into the walk, I noticed some pain on the top outside part of my left foot. It was not too bad and I continued the walk. Later that day the pain became worse . . . to the point that I could not put my weight on that part of my foot. Instead I had to walk more on the "inside of my foot." Now, several days later, the pain is still there although it might be a little better. I can walk ok if I roll my ankle in, but it is still painful to put any pressure on the outside of my foot below my little toe. The area is also painful to the touch. I did not fall or twist my ankle during the walk.

I am 48 and have had osteoporosis for about 6 years due to some previous cancer treatments. My last bone density showed another marked increase in bone loss. Don't know if that's an issue or not.
