I have seperation between my second and third toe. It started several months ago but recently has been getting worse rapidly. I? is causing pain in other parts of my foot. What couold this be> ?

Get it checked out. It is most likely a bursitis, which is a swollen bursa between the metatarsal head. A rare cause of this is rheumatoid arthritis. You should be checked to rule this out.
