Could it be plantar fasciitis?

I also don't wear "proper" shoes while working, I own alt of ballet flats and flip-flops. I do know those are not the best. But even when I wear good tennis shoes it still hurts, if not more!
Recently both of my ankles have been hurting/burning. More the right one. Ive sprained both of my ankles many times in the past years so I thought the burring could just be from an old injury. Lately I was told about plantar fisciitis could be the reason why its hurting. All the information I've read about it has been talking about runners having it. I don't run, but recently have been working out on an elliptical type machine shortly after starting working out my heels felt like they would fall asleep, it was very uncomfortable to the point that I stopped working out. After I stopped it seemed to go away, but now at my job we just got new tile put in and now I'm walking on tile floor for 6-7 hours a day (we used to have carpet). Could also be the problem?

I could be sitting and I would get a sharp pain
