Is there a link between Peroneal Tendon Injuries and flat feet or Severs ?

My 11 year old son was diagnosed with both flat feet and Severs disease last fall. He hurt his ankle playing lacrosse recently. It appears to be tendonitis around the Peroneal Tendon and he is in a boot for the next few weeks. Is there a link between this type of tendonitis and either flat feet or Severs disease? I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

DocPod 		I would say that there is no link. A flat or pronated foot is when the ankle rolls inwards and the arch collapses. Peroneal problems are most frequently (but not always) casued by the opposite.
