Centre of the foot is very tender to touch. ?

Regular runner with no real issues with the legs. Ran a half marathon on the Sunday and on the Monday calves were sore/tight but felt ok. Late Monday morning a sudden pain in the foot appeared. Suspected plantar fasciitis and started work on the recommended treatment of massaging and ice but with no improvement 1 week on. The rest of the foot is not sensitive at all it is just one spot exactly centre of the foot.

DocPod 		Hard to say without seeing which tissue is affected.
Plantar fasciitis is typically near the heel and worse on those first few steps in the morning.

What you are describing could be plantar fasciitis, but it could be any number of other things such as a trigger point, intrinsic muscle strain etc
